He received his Bachelor’s degree in 1981 and his Master’s degree in 1982 from Ege University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Plant Protection. He completed his doctorate studies in Çukurova University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Plant Protection in 1990. He received the titles of Assistant Professor in 1992, Associate Professor in 1993 and Professor in 1999 at the same university in the Department of Entomology. He was appointed as “Dean” to Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Agriculture in 2000 and as Vice Rector to Süleyman Demirel University in 2004. He served as the Head of the Department of Plant Protection at the Faculty of Agriculture at Süleyman Demirel University between 2008-2012 and the Head of the Department of Entomology between 2012-2015. As a result of the transfer of staff to Isparta University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, Department of Plant Protection in 2018, he continues to work in this Department. Along with his 7 published books, the number of scientific works he has is 278. Since the ZİDEK’s establishment , which was in 2011, he has served as both a founding member and a member of the executive board. He also served as the chair of ZAK with its establishment, and still carries out this duty.
