He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Ankara University Faculty of Agriculture Department of Agricultural Machinery in 1984. He completed his Master’s degree in 1986 and his Doctorate in 1990 at Ankara University Institute of Science Department of Agricultural Machinery. He started his academic career at the Department of Agricultural Machinery as a Research Assistant in 1985 and obtained the title of Assistant Professor in 1991, Associate Professor in 1995 and was appointed and promoted Professor in 2002. Within Ankara University, he served as Member of Executive Board of Kalecik Vocational School between 1995-1998, Vice Head of Department in 1996, Associate Professor Representative in Faculty Council between 1996-1999, Vice Director of Institute of Science between 1996-2004, Vice Dean of Faculty of Agriculture between 2004-2008 and Dean of Faculty of Agriculture between 2008-2015. He served as the founding chair of ZİDEK and served in ZİDEK Executive Board until 2021. He has memberships to non-governmental organizations such as TMMOB Chamber of Agricultural Engineers, Union of Turkish Agricultural Engineers, Association for Agricultural Machinery,  Association and Foundation for Ankara University Graduates and Staff, and served as Acting Chair of Lecturers Union (ÖGESAN).  He has multiple publications and works in his field. He is the program coordinator for Open Education Faculty Agriculture Associate Degree Program. He continues to work as a lecturer at Ankara University Faculty of Agriculture Department of Agricultural Machinery and Technologies Engineering.
