He received his Bachelor’s degree in 1991 from Çukurova University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture. He earned his Master’s degree in 1997 from Ohio State University, Department of Horticulture and Crop Science. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2001 from Çukurova University, Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences, Department of Horticulture. At Mustafa Kemal University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor in 2002 and as an Associate Professor in 2006. He began working at Erciyes University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture in 2010 and was appointed as a Professor in 2011. He served as the Department Chair at Erciyes University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture from 2011 to 2014. The number of his scientific works, including 3 published books, is 300. He continues his duty as a Professor in the Department of Vegetable Cultivation and Breeding at Erciyes University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture. His research focuses on vegetable cultivation and breeding, grafted seedling production, rootstock breeding, and stress physiology.
