Prof. Dr. Gürsel DELLAL was born on 04.06.1961 in Ankara. He graduated from primary and middle school in Kırşehir and he graduated from high school in Ankara. He entered Ankara University Faculty of Agriculture Department of Animal Science in 1982 and graduated in 1986. He completed his Master’s degree in 1989 and his Doctorate in 1994 at Ankara University. He became an Assoc. Prof. in 1996 and Professor in 2003 at the same university.
His primary areas of scientific study are sheep and goat breeding, reproduction physiology in farm animals, climate change, animal production and organic animal production. He worked as a visiting research professor at Texas A&M University Faculty of Agriculture Department of Animal Science for one year. He conducted 14 Master’s theses and 13 Doctorate theses. He has authored 206 published works. He served in Ankara University Senate, Faculty of Agriculture Faculty Board and Stem Cell Institute. He was awarded Chamber of Agricultural Engineers Science Award in 2022. He is married and has one child.
