He became a Doctor in 1970, Assoc. Prof. in 1977 and Professor in 1988. He attended the “3rd International Plant Breeding Course” for 3 months in 1973 at Netherleands-Wageningen University. He was appointed to the Germany-G\u00f6ttingen University for two years between 1975-1977 with a scholarship. In 1984, he visited various universities with invitation from the government of USA. He was tasked as a founding member of the Bursa Uluda\u011f University Faculty of Agriculture between 1981-1983. He worked as the founding director of Ankara University Faculty of Agriculture Farm between 1983-1990.\r\n\r\nHe was the Dean of the Ankara University Faculty of Agriculture between 1990-1992.\r\n\r\nHe was the President of Ankara University between 1992-2000. He worked as the Chair of the Executive Board of Higher Education Credit and Dormitories Institution between 1995-2000.\r\n\r\nHe received the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland in 2000, Soka University (Japan) Award of Highest Honor in 1993, Fair Play Award of Merit from the National Olympic Committee of T\u00fcrkiye in 2000 and Honorary Doctorates from six different Universities of different countries\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
